Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Applied with a referral from a friend.

Started with a phone interview with a recruiter. Demonstrating excitement for Uber's mission was important.

Then, I had a code pairing phone screen with a question about palindromes.

Following that, I attended an on-site with many rounds of interviews. The problems were easier than I expected, and the interviewers were helpful in guiding me to the solutions. I made sure to show enthusiasm for Uber.

However, no offer was extended in the end. Perhaps I did not reach the bar.

The Uber team seemed to be under more stress due to very high growth, but they were intelligent.
