I spoke to the recruiter who scheduled a phone screen. I had no idea about the team before the interview. It felt like a junior person was interviewing me, shadowed by a senior person.
I was asked to implement an API rate limiter in the UI. No one has ever asked such a question; it was totally unexpected. I received no useful hints from the interviewer, and it felt like they were uninterested.
At the end, I asked what the role was about. The reply was that the manager would ensure I received work I would enjoy. The answer was very amateurish. It was not a very positive experience.
