I have gotten the opportunity to make a real-world impact. I like that about Uber.
Most companies are worried about the next social opportunity, but here at Uber, we are helping shape the future.
In some parts of the company, people feel pressured to work extremely long hours, and I even feel that pressure sometimes. I think this happens because there is pressure put on by management or senior engineers to get things done, because everything is "critical". My team does a pretty good job of this, and I feel like I have a great work/life balance, though.
Sometimes, personal feelings get in the way of being logical about who is doing a great job. This shows in performance reviews. When the brightest and best engineers on the team don't get great reviews, I wonder what is going on. Aside from that, I think you are doing a fantastic job. You are some of the smartest people I've gotten the opportunity to work with.
I was referred and then had an HR interview. Following that, I completed a 60-minute phone technical interview. The interviewer was good, and we had a productive discussion. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the question.
Recruitment was messy. The recruiter responded, and we had an initial phone call, which is normal. However, at the end, I was told I'd get a time-sensitive email, but it was never sent. I had to reach out a week later to get the email. The recruiter
I applied through another source. - Very transparent resume screening - 2 technical DSA rounds - 1 system design round - 1 cultural fit round - Feedback call The interviewer was good at communicating all the things from the beginning. All interview
