This company hired the best engineers in the city, and now they are being treated like pawns. Compensation is bad and becoming worse each day. They don't even care about the enormous inflation rate in Turkey and pay salaries in Turkish Lira. When it comes to advertisements, they say, "We're a Silicon Valley company," but their compensation is no different than tiny little startups in Turkey.
Most people just got 0-10% salary increases, while the Turkish Lira devalued against all other currencies by over 30% in 6 months. Multiple times a day, we're looking at currency rates and see that our purchasing power is melting continuously. This is incredibly sad, and management is playing dumb to this. People are working hard but are punished all the time for their work.
Management is not capable of understanding the real issues inside teams. They are just applying the orders from upper management and cannot solve a single issue. Lots of talented engineers are angry, upset, and demotivated because of bad management, but they don't even accept their faults. A lot of talented engineers have left the company, and more are to come.
Increase salaries in Turkey. There are much better options, as you know people started to leave.
Pay salaries in a proper currency (USD, EUR, or PGK). We're tired of devaluation in Turkish Lira and harsh economic conditions in the country.
Choose managers very carefully. Only a very limited number of engineers have managerial skills; most of them should not become one. Engineers in Turkey are mostly top-notch; you should treat them very well.
Be transparent!
