Four total rounds:
The Online Assessment had 3 questions: 1 medium, 1 between medium and hard, and 1 hard.
The duration was 2 hours, as far as I can remember.
Shortlisting was based on the OA itself; no CG shortlist was involved.
12 candidates were shortlisted for the interviews, with only 2 making the final selection.
Offline Round 1 consisted of a mix of general project questions based on my resume, basic DSA approach questions, and 1 easy to medium level coding question. It was a comprehensive round and took around 1 hour and 10 minutes.
In Offline Round 2, 6 people made it. This round was solely based on solving a coding question live, with all test cases and setup on an online application. It was a difficult DP-based approach question requiring heavy optimization; brute force would only pass 1 out of 23 test cases. 1D DP would pass 12, but 2D DP passed all. The interviewer asked me to code all the approaches I knew, starting with brute force, then optimizing to 1D DP, and finally 2D DP.
When the 2D DP did not work on the first attempt, the interviewer became very interested in observing how I debugged the code. He mentioned that for him, debugging carried the most marks.
Luckily, I used simple but useful strategies he was expecting, such as logging, breakpoints, and filter guessing. He watched closely throughout my debugging steps. When the code finally ran, he was quite happy and said the interview was done. He indicated I could leave if I had no further questions.
To avoid ending abruptly, I asked a few basic questions about the projects he was currently working on at UiP, and then I left.
Finally, for Offline Round 3, only 4 (or 5, I can't recall) were selected. There were 2 HMs present, and we were randomly grouped with one of them for our round. The HM I was allotted was very chill, listened a lot, and was very supportive throughout. He asked mostly questions about myself. This round went the best for me personally!
Finally, only 2 candidates were selected: one from under each HM.
