Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I did not move past the recruiter phone screen. Her complete lack of interest, and her later statement that there were candidates at the end of their processes, signaled that they already had someone in mind for the role.

She was oblivious to my location, which felt discourteous as I took a late-night interview to accommodate her schedule. The interview was not much of a two-way conversation; I felt she rattled off generic questions without listening to my answers or trying to build off of them.

Perhaps they simply needed to meet a recruitment quota, but the experience felt like a waste of my time and left a bad taste in my mouth about the organization.
