Pros: Verizon does pay pretty well, and the benefits are top-notch.
Cons: Verizon has always been a tough place to work, but in the past, everyone worked together, and that made up for short project timelines and the like. Now, they have to pay well and have good benefits to make up for the culture becoming unfocused and toxic. However, toxic leaders are given promotions. The money that is due to you may be diverted to someone else if that is what some director wants to do.

Pros: The benefits of being a US-based FTE are great. I've heard them say they pay in the 75% scale, which is higher than 75% of the market. It's relatively friction-less to move internally.
Cons: Change is slow, and the company is deliberately shrinking the number of US-based FTEs over time, so musical chairs every 18 months is a thing.
