Pros: Not being unemployed and homeless. (Getting a paycheck).

Cons: There is an increasing trend now in engineering (June 2022) where employees who are *supposed to* be on vacation are increasingly checking in on conference calls, Slack messages, emails, and reports during their time off or scheduled vacation. The whole point of vacation time is to disconnect from the always-on, burnout culture that is being fostered by leadership at Verizon. Don't be fooled; it is becoming all about the metrics, reports, and 100 MPH+ productivity, without regard or respect for employees' vacation time or personal time away.

Pros: Pay, benefits, flexible schedule, opportunities

Cons: Chaos and confusion in certain organizations.

Pros: Lots of interesting work. Good pay.

Cons: Females are on the fast track, and those from the parent company are ruining the wireless culture with their wireline mentality. Politics are a bigger focus than progress, as everyone seems to be in CYA mode.
