Verizon Data Services India, being a 100% owned subsidiary of India, came to our college for the CSE/ECE/EEE branches. In the end, they gave only 12 offers (mostly to the CSE grads) out of about 120 people who were eligible for an offer. The criterion for an offer was a 7 GPA throughout school and college.
The process started with a presentation, followed by a test that assessed quant, analytics, and technical skills, with sectional cut-offs in each of these sections. Then came the interviews, which consisted of a group technical interview followed by a one-to-one HR interview. The interviews were basic, and the recruiters were cordial and polite. In the end, it was the Verizon brand that attracted the amount of applications.
