Pros

Company offers a high-technology environment for a progressive career.

Cons

Verizon does not care at all about employees. They are cutting everywhere and replacing US engineers for engineers from India. Your job is at risk all the time now.

For the last layoff in December 2017, they promised retirement benefits that were not true. For instance, the retiree employee phone program, they told retired employees that if you qualified (it was my case), you would receive a 50% discount price plan. Now suddenly they have decided to change that, starting in 2019.

In Florida, a verbal agreement can be considered a contract.

I will look for legal help. It is time that somebody starts requesting our rights as employees.

Also, they try to push away unions. Managers constantly threaten you regarding any contact that you can do with union people.

It is a bad environment for professionals in the industry.

Advice to Management

Nothing to advise; they will not change anything unless a new regulation from a judge changes that.
