I applied for the role and was contacted by a company recruiter approximately 4 weeks after submitting my CV.
I then had a phone interview with the recruiter, who came across as difficult to talk to. There were a lot of silences on their side, and it was generally not a good conversation. It was really hard to explain myself as the connection quality was awful (on their end), with loud office noise and constant cut-outs.
I was then given a take-away task to complete, which I did within a couple of days of receiving it. It then took over a week to get a reply and feedback on the task. When I did receive a reply, it was just an abrupt and basic email asking me to do another task for them. After completing the second challenge and handing it back within a day or two, it then took over two weeks to get a reply.
I then received yet another brief message which stated that the hiring team were still trying to work out how to conduct an onsite interview. Three weeks passed in which I had pretty much forgotten about the job. I received one final email saying they had recently hired other people for the role.
Absolute waste of time (nearly 2 months from point of first contact) and extremely unprofessional from a company that is meant to portray itself as high quality.
Generic questions about the QA process, my skills, and what I have worked on.
Given two take-away tasks to complete.
