Pros: Remote. Nice team culture, collaborative. Twice a year meetup.

Cons: Backend services are mostly in PHP (Next.js + PHP). Custom frameworks increase the learning curve.

Pros: I love working at Vimeo. My colleagues are awesome, and it's a very healthy workplace. Great culture, nice people, and a fun product to work on. Overall, the best tech company I've worked at.

Cons: There have been two rounds of layoffs in the past year that have created a lot of stress among employees. I know it's a larger trend in the tech industry right now, but it's disappointing to see it happen at Vimeo when the company is already in a good place financially. It sucks to constantly be wondering when another round is coming and if you might be next.

Pros: A good learning opportunity for mid-level engineers.

Cons: No growth for people staying long. Low salary. Bad management.
