The call came through a consultancy called Superior Talent. In the call letter, they mentioned a face-to-face interview. Upon reaching there, HR asked me to take a 1 hour 30 minute HackerRank test. After the test, they kept me waiting for an hour.
This was a bad experience for me because, firstly, it was never told or mentioned in the invite letter that a HackerRank test would be part of the agenda. Who takes leave from the office to take a HackerRank test?
Secondly, I confirmed with the consultancy person about the agenda, and I was told it would be a face-to-face interview, with no mention of a HackerRank test.
Visa should ensure that if they are so inclined towards HackerRank tests, they should not call candidates who have not taken the test online from home. How does it make sense for a person who has not taken the test from home to be interested in taking it from your office, taking a day's leave?
