Overall, there were 4 rounds:
Most questions focused on Spring Boot, AOP, and Java. There was one question on medium LeetCode DSA (binary search).
CodeSignal - 4 questions (2 easy, 1 medium, 1 hard) I solved the first two, and partially accepted test cases for the rest.
Tech 1 - Questions on Spring Boot advanced level, Java concepts, Angular, Observables, and a DSA medium question. Overall, the interviewer was good and responsive. As I wasn't able to come up with all the Spring Boot queries, I tried to propose ideas about what must be happening, and surprisingly, that's exactly what it was. His response to each explanation of mine deepened the discussion and made it more interesting.
Tech 2 - The interviewer arrived 5 minutes late. I started with my introduction, and straightaway, he asked about Spring AOP. The next 10 minutes went in-depth. Though I wasn't clear about some technical terms like pointcuts, he also asked me about their different types. Then he went on mute and turned his video off for another minute. Later, he asked a few questions on streams and Hibernate, and I was able to come up with perfect explanations and examples, which he himself didn't seem to have ideas about. It was merely 15 minutes of the allocated 1 hour, and he said, "I'm done; the recruiter will reach you for feedback."
Post two days, I received a rejection email. The second round was really hilarious, and I'm unsure why big tech companies like Visa have senior SDEs who just reject candidates based on their appearance, or whatever. I really have no idea why it was so short and why I was rejected.
Though I've faced rejections before, this is the first time I've faced an impertinent interview without any sensible reason.
I mailed HR stating about this round, but as expected, there was no reply.
