Do not waste time with Visa Bangalore. (The mediocre company, in the words of the hiring manager.)
I solved HackerRank and the first and second interviews flawlessly. An interviewer even got confused asking a problem, which I had to correct. The HR changed multiple times during my interview process and stated that technically, I am very sound.
I am coming from a gap of 10 months, which I had disclosed to them beforehand. When it came to the Hiring Manager (HM) round, she mentioned she was moderately ambitious and seeking a Senior Software Engineer, not a Staff position, which was fine. I explained my projects in detail, and she had questions she said would be asked by her manager in the next round.
These Visa people are so lame that I received a rejection email five minutes before the HM round. I clarified it was their mistake, as they proceeded with the HM round. The next day, they again sent the same rejection mail (having hired someone else).
I am an immediate joiner, and these half-wits wasted so much of my time. They likely rejected me due to my gap, but they could have simply avoided the interview altogether.
You know it's a joke when these people (Visa Bangalore) claim they process over billions of payment transactions, because these irresponsible HRs are good for nothing. They are careless, unprofessional people; how can they hire someone good?
By the way, this recruiter is the worst I have ever encountered. She said she would share the expectations of each round via email. When I sent a reminder, she said she had already told me on the call and asked what I wanted her to share, the interview questions. Upon reminding her to share the details via email (especially since Visa doesn't have a design round), she did not reply.
When I called to check, she said, "We talked for one hour before this one hour just now." I replied, "I just called." She said, "I told you last time." I said, "But other HRs shared different rounds, and the HM mentioned a design round." She then stated, "I am HR, you are the recruiter," and started shouting. RIP, God bless these crazy folks.
These people are careless, unprofessional, egoistic, uncultured, and truly incompetent. They seem to be waiting to pass time, perhaps because they don't get much work from their US counterparts.
Not worth it.
Visa's interview is like a drunkard opening a TV for his amusement until he feels the need to close it again.
