I was contacted by a recruiter for a VISA talent event in Austin in June 2019. I cleared a HackerRank challenge and another technical round.
I was invited onsite, where I had four rounds, each lasting 45 minutes.
The interviews were pretty decent, and I was expecting an offer since there were eight positions with a new security group.
I was told to expect communication within a couple of days. Guess what – I haven't heard back since then. All emails and calls went unanswered.
I can't understand when ghosting candidates has become the norm. I would at least expect a "thanks for your interest" email if rejected or if the positions were scrapped.
