I had a CodeSignal OA with 4 questions: 2 easy and 2 medium LeetCode-style.
Four weeks later, I received an email stating my score was passing and I was moving to the next round. I was asked for availability to schedule a quick call.
I never received that call. However, two weeks after that email, I was given an interview date scheduled for a few days out, without any other notice.
The interview consisted of three rounds on the same day, scheduled back-to-back with 5-10 minute breaks between each round. The interview rounds included:
I received a rejection call a week later. I was told their policies prevented them from giving feedback, despite friends and several other reviews indicating that feedback could be requested for other SWE positions.
Overall, while I enjoyed my time with the interviewers (they were very polite and chill people) and felt I had done very well based on some feedback given during the interviews, the Visa HR recruiting/hiring team has horrible communication practices. Perhaps the person I was assigned was terrible at their job.
All of my questions and my availability were completely ignored, and I was left feeling caught off guard throughout the entire process. This experience, coupled with my previous ones, has left me uncertain whether applying to Visa is a waste of my time.
