Visa has one of the best benefits packages I think any employee could ask for. If you are looking for a great company and are an Indian male, then Visa is for you. You should fit right in and have a good future there.
On the other hand, existing employees, in particular white males, those with long tenure at the company, or any others that are in the way of a hire related to the pro's, need to CYA and start/keep looking.
I have personally seen a senior team member of mine walked out the door, while an Indian male was walked in and introduced to the team before the other was even gone, for exactly the same job/title/level.
I have never in my career seen anything so blatant and uncaring as Visa has become in taking care of existing employees. Unfortunately, this stems from the top down.
Visa is a technology company, and knowledge, whether tribal or not, in the hands of existing employees is of real value. Value it.
First, I had a phone interview. They asked some questions about my technical background, such as programming languages, databases, and systems I usually use. They also asked some simple algorithm questions, which didn't require coding, and some SQL q
Very straightforward, with only two technical phone interviews. They both concerned knowledge of Visa's Developer Platform, how my background aligned with the position, and some classic HackerRank questions.
Applied through referral and the recruiter scheduled an interview within a week. Questions covered data structures and algorithms, along with basic Java OOPs concepts. I was also asked why I was interested in this company and some behavioral question
