Principal Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I was approached by an internal recruiter. The process was pretty standard: a phone screen, followed by a full panel interview that lasted over six hours.

Their location was hard to find, and they didn't provide a proper lunch, only snacks and colas. That's Walmart for you.

They showed me their workspace: very small cubicles, almost claustrophobic, with drab wall colors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, I asked about the next steps, which involved another full round of grilling. Well, my mind switched off when I heard that. They seem to be very picky people.

I was told about a week later that they are still talking to other candidates. I guess they couldn't come to tell me I'm not what they want. Oh well.
