I received an interview call from HR yesterday morning. They informed me that the interview was scheduled for the next day. I attempted to ask the HR representative to postpone the interview due to the short notice, but she stated there were no other available slots. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, I attended the interview.
It was a group interview with multiple candidates joining the call. I was assigned to a breakout room, and then the interviewer joined.
He was very rude and made me feel as though I knew nothing. I tried to answer a few questions, but he interrupted me mid-sentence. He consistently wanted to demonstrate that he was right. I have attended several interviews, and none of them made me feel this way. Even when I made a mistake, interviewers politely explained it to me without making me feel insecure about my capabilities.
To all Senior QAs who believe they know more than everyone else: remember that you walked this path to reach your position, and there are many people out there who are more knowledgeable than you.
Thank you for the wonderful experience.
