Process

I received a call from one of the Walmart HR representatives and was interviewed at the Bangalore office. Overall, the process was very smooth.

  1. The Hiring Manager took the first round and asked some questions about my projects. They also asked me to find the maximum sum of two integers from a given stream of integers.

  2. The next question was about finding the maximum number of cabs needed given arrival and departure times.

I was also asked to design a data structure that can support O(1) insertion, deletion, fetch, and random element pick.

  1. Finally, I was asked to design the Splitwise settle feature using Low-Level Design (LLD).

I was rejected, I guess, in the third round. I completely messed it up.

Make sure you are proficient in Java before applying, especially if you are experienced. Since I had been working with Golang for the past couple of years, it was difficult for me to crack the last round.
