Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Sunnyvale, California
Process
The process started on a positive note with the phone interview. The overall interviewing experience was fair enough, even though one of the interviewers seemed least interested.
When it was time to make an actual offer, the Hiring Manager was lowballing, trying to get me to accept an offer well below the median Bay Area salary. They attempted to sell Walmart as a brand bigger than Amazon.
I get the feeling they think they are bigger than Amazon now and that candidates will accept whatever peanuts they offer to work for this great company. This is surely not the case. What a waste of time.
