The interview process was well-organized with a perfect schedule.
It included one phone screening followed by six onsite interviews.
Throughout the interviews, they repeatedly stated their need for more people to build their platform from scratch.
One question arose during the interviews:
A "full stack engineer" asked me to provide an example of dynamic binding in Java. My response was:
Vehicle c = new Car(); c.start(); // this will invoke Car's instance of the start method
His response was, "The compiler would complain about your code 'Vehicle c = new Car();' because you cannot do that."
I was taken aback, thinking, "Are you kidding me?"
Aside from this exchange, I felt the other interviews were acceptable, except for the one with their senior official who appeared uninterested in the interview.
