Pros: Been here for under 5 years. Clearly my favorite broadcast facility.

Cons: Sometimes veteran employees feel entitled just because they've been here a long time.

Pros: Turner was a great company to work for. I enjoyed my time there. I had to work holidays in my department, but the vacation time I had was outstanding. The 401k is also the best of anywhere I have ever worked. The people are great to work with, also. It was not unusual at the time for people to work there for 15 or 20 years. This was before it became more corporate, but there are still some old-timers around.

Cons: CNN has undergone a rather rough patch the past few years with layoffs and management changes. This is not entirely the company's fault, however; people are just not watching television like they used to. The engineering department I worked for underwent a reorganization about every 2-3 years on average the entire time I was there. The hardest part was wondering what management or department I would be working in next. The engineering department fared better than most, however, as mostly management was shuffled around; they usually left the staff engineers alone. As long as you performed your job and kept productive, you were usually fine. The only other thing that I would consider a negative is the shift of upper management away from Atlanta to New York. It started first with the on-air talent moving and then slowly the senior executives. Jeff Zucker is the first president of CNN to have his office in New York and not Atlanta, so the trend is not slowing down.

Pros: Good benefit and lift balance.

Cons: There have been several rounds of spin-offs.
