Process

  1. Initial HR Interview:
  • Why are you interested in joining?
  • Walk through your resume.
  1. Case Study Interview:
  • Brainstorm a case study with a manager related to device tracking.
  1. Technical and Behavioral Interviews:
  • Coding (1 hour): Write a machine learning algorithm from scratch using NumPy.
  • Behavioral (1 hour): Discuss a project you owned, how you handled specific work situations, and describe collaboration with other teams.
  • Case Studies (2 x 1 hour each): Questions were vague and read aloud by the interviewer. No whiteboard was used. When a deep learning approach was mentioned, the interviewer seemed unfamiliar. I initially thought I could ask clarifying questions, but it depended on the interviewer; one simply said no and offered no direction. I provided specific mathematical formulas, but was asked to name them, which felt more like a competition than guidance.
