Pros: I think the compensation was fair. I really valued my WFH position, flexible work schedule, and my immediate co-workers.

Cons: There was a lot of pressure to get things done fast and work extra hours. I spent a ton of time reviewing and fixing code that contractors wrote, who received a ton of credit for their contributions. The culture was absolute trash; it was nothing but work and deadlines. Very few people tried to create team bonds, although one or two did. Performance does not matter; you will not be rewarded for doing a good job. As soon as our team completed the basic features of our critical platform app, three-fourths of the engineers were let go. The push for RTO is ridiculous. They want you to sit in traffic for two hours a day to sit in an open office and be distracted, while still having every meeting virtually. They are really changing things though, so WFH likely will not be an option going forward. They are also outsourcing as many jobs as possible to India so they can exploit cheaper labor. They cut all DEI programs years ago, along with anyone who spoke up about ethical questions. I've witnessed blatant racism and othering, and leadership only gave lip service to inclusion in order to make themselves look good and make more money.

Pros: There was a very light workload.

Cons: I do not recommend working at Wayfair. I was on the iOS dev team, and there was little oversight.

Pros: A lot of challenging problems to solve.

Cons: You might get laid off.
