Process

The first step was a friendly call from a recruiter to discuss background, experience, the job description, and salary expectations. After that, there was a coding challenge to be completed in an online editor within 24 hours. There was no strict time limit within that window, and any programming language could be chosen. The candidate was also asked to submit code samples with a simple description. Following the successful completion of the coding challenge, a technical interview with a senior software engineer took place. Finally, there was a cultural fit evaluation interview with the hiring manager.

Questions

Simple SQL queries, basic TCP/IP questions, programming questions involving strings and arrays. I also reviewed my resume and answered behavioral questions such as: What made you apply to Wayfair? What makes you a good fit?
