It was a standard coding interview via online meeting. The problem was something about graphs. I solved it with log-transform and Bellman-Ford, but got ghosted anyway. It was a LeetCode medium-level problem.

Worthless Stocks, Toxic Culture

Pros: Access to partial Google perks. I cannot think of anything else.
Cons: Compensation: The stocks are worthless, so you only have base salary. The company's goal is not making revenue. It blows off every possibility of profitable business – L2&L3 and trucking – due to poor business decisions. It is working on L4 robotaxi only to satisfy someone's ego.
Work-life balance: The company implicitly expects you to work 100+ hours per week. You need to work on short-term projects all year with deadlines every 1-2 months. You will barely have a chance to sleep a week before each deadline.
Culture: Toxic. The company wants you to feel insecure so you work harder. And it's famous for really bad people managers.

Pros: Good pay, flexible hours, and great communication from managers.
Cons: As a contractor, there was no real way to get put on fulltime at Google/Waymo. If you know this going in, though, it's a great experience.
