Internal Interview -- I am consulting there. The interview went well. They were looking for specific COTS package experience, which I didn't have. I don't believe the importance placed on it should have been as high as other factors under consideration. I had an excellent rapport with the manager, but I believe the end focus on what was important for the role being interviewed for was skewed. This has happened with two interviews there.

Pros: Overall timings are good in other projects.
People are friendly, but do not share knowledge for growth.
Food is average in the cafeteria, and transport services are available.
Cons: Bossy-slave culture.
Huge micromanagement.
They don't respect people's space and time, especially in Risk projects.
Leads don't bother to listen to your issues and try to save their skin in front of the manager.
Working or writing emails late at night is a proud moment for some people.
Although the manager encourages work-life balance, the lead pushes to stay back.
Perks are 2-3% twice a year, and there's not much technical growth, as most of them are legacy projects.

Pros: I worked in the Internet Services Group of Wells Fargo, and it was a terrific place to work.
The hours were reasonable, the benefits were good, and there was an enjoyable group of employees.
There was a good budget for software tools, so you usually got what you needed to get your work done.
Mostly, I really appreciated that Wells Fargo truly seems to want to provide value to employees, customers, and the community as much as they do for investors.
Cons: It's a huge behemoth, so things can happen very slowly, which can get, perhaps, a bit boring sometimes.
They are eliminating the San Francisco offices, and I sense a degradation in the work environment since I left.
