I was part of "super week", which is supposed to be 10 hours of interview activities spread across 4 days, supposedly to be more inclusive of neurodivergent talent, as that's what it was aimed at. It consists of 4 days/10 hours of interview activities: 3 hours for 3 days and around an hour on the 4th day for a manager 1:1.

That's where the red flags start flying. Expecting someone with ADHD to sit through 3 hours of Teams meetings every day is assuredly not inclusive. Speaking of Teams, they use it because Microsoft pays them, not because it's good.

So besides the length of time, the interview stuff is pretty easy. There were 6 hours of behavioral tasks where they took notes and 3 hours for the technical, which was building some pretty complex forms.

A week after the technical, we received an unofficial call to confirm an offer was incoming in the next couple of days, and our start date to move our entire lives across the country was a little less than a month and a half out. Two weeks later, after no contact and pure worry, the offer came after the group started to pester people.

I told them at the very beginning that I would not relocate to Arizona (there were 3 other locations in the Bay Area plus New York) or accept the seemingly ridiculous $36/hour posted on the page.

So guess what they offered me? Yup. I tried to negotiate and was offered North Carolina with no mention of compensation.

They can pay $20 billion in fraud fines in the last 20 years but cannot pay their neurodivergent employees what they are worth.
