Pros: The pay is decent; the bonuses are very nice.
I got plenty of time off and vacation, but sometimes it's difficult to get it scheduled.
Benefits are good, although the healthcare deductible is very high.
In my particular department, my manager was indeed a working manager. I don't know how she did it; when there was a problem, she'd be on it all the time.
Cons: Depending on which department you work on or which product you support, you can have a great experience or an extremely poor experience. When you find yourself in a group with a poor experience, you're stuck. Too many meetings - feel like I'm being micro-managed.
