Individual groups (commercial banking, retail banking, wholesale, etc.) are like companies within the company and can have completely different cultures – "your mileage may vary" is definitely in play.
The "Old Boy Club" warning is in full effect.
The only constant is going to be change. However you're doing things, be prepared for it to change from the ground up at a moment's notice and for no readily apparent reason.
Keep fighting the good fight. Never let go of the most basic rule of banking: What is best for our customers is also best for us in the long run.
