Pros

I have been with the company for more than 10 years.

In my tenure, I saw the typical reluctance to change, much talk about innovation without much incentive. I was told once at Wells that when you take a chance and it succeeds, you are not rewarded; if it fails, you are punished.

This incentivizes not taking risks nor making changes.

However, in the past 3 years, the company is doing "better" at embracing change. While it is a typical corporate job, there are pockets of innovation that are fun to be a part of.

Cons
  • Have to work from the office, no exceptions.
  • Typical stack ranking management style rewarding the loud and political.
  • Weak people managers, with no backbone to support their direct reports.
Advice to Management

Reward and protect those that are making investments of their life into the business and making your business successful.
