Quietly laying off people by adding more work, giving tiny yearly salary increases, and not noticing some serious efforts on yearly reviews, but noticing small, unimportant negative details to push your rating (and bonus) down.

Could be a sweatshop situation with long overtimes.
Promotions are difficult; the company prefers to hire senior or management-level individuals from outside. However, I still recommend this company if you understand and agree with the pros and cons.
And if you are a contractor, then it's really bad—three times all negatives, no positives. I do not recommend being a contractor here.
