The in-house recruiter scheduled a call with me and let me know she'd be sending me the assessment link. I asked how many problems there would be, and she said she'd let me know by following up, which she never did. It turned out to be three problems via HackerRank.
Fast forward to the assessment. I'd bet money that the recruiter I spoke to didn't know that C#, C++, and likely Java and JavaScript are totally different languages, since the first question was only solvable in C# and Java, both of which weren't listed on my resume. The second problem ended up being broken.
I followed up with her to confirm that two out of three weren't solvable for me, and she said she'd look into it. She never followed up, and almost two weeks later, I got an email with the subject line, "Maybe next time…" from a no-reply email, not the recruiter.
