Pros

Started when the company was a startup.

It was the best startup ever.

The first 500-1000 hired were super bright and motivated.

Pre-IPO, everything was amazing.

Cons

The company has lost sight of many of its best attributes as a startup. It's growing too fast, and the quality of employees has dropped a lot. It's filled with spoiled, entitled, just-out-of-school hires. There are a lot of inequities in pay and position. Many get moved up the ladder too fast and for the wrong reasons. Much talent is overlooked and either is, or will soon be, moving elsewhere. I am personally interviewing now.

Advice to Management

A small scattering of RSUs isn't enough incentive to keep long-timers in the company. Software to analyze retention has been acquired. We should figure out how to use it.
