Pros: There is market visibility because of the nature of the product. Your friends and family can see and know your work, so there is satisfaction in completing a task or project.

Cons: Since it's a large company, duplication in the workforce is a probability. They need to devise better communication strategies to work more tangibly in the workforce.

Pros: Yahoo! provides great means for great results. A highly skilled environment that accelerates your career development and personal growth.

Cons: Yahoo! actually decided to kill his technology sanctuary and let go brilliant, motivated engineering teams.

Pros: Big challenges and big ambitions - before the Microsoft deal came crashing down. The engineering problems are hard, and Yahoo! is still a place where the sheer number of users means that all problems have scale implications rarely found elsewhere. The culture was fun and irreverent. Smart engineers building good software. There was a healthy relationship with India offices. There was reasonable handling of companies that were acquired - except Overture, which should have been cleaned up nearly as soon as it was bought.

Cons: The Matrix organizational structure killed the ability to move or make decisions. Senior management was often a joke, both in terms of seniority and management capability.
