Software Engineer Interview Experience - Sunnyvale, California
Process
This was by far the best interview experience I had.
I had two short phone interviews, which went pretty well. There were no weird questions, just all fundamental and basic questions.
Then I was invited for an on-site interview, which was very well organized.
The campus looks really nice, everything is so relaxed, and the interviewers are quite friendly. The questions were not too difficult, but definitely open-ended and broad.

- 4.0Senior Software EngineerSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeSunnyvale, California, United StatesJune 16, 2015Pros: Good work-life balance, very friendly people, and very good benefits, including free food, a free phone, and more.Cons: The overall company strategy is not very clear. The management is a little messy. Though the CEO wants to change the culture, company politics is still very serious.
- 5.0Great Perks, Code ReviewsSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeSunnyvale, California, United StatesNovember 24, 2024Pros: This company was a great company to work for. Free drinks, free coffee. A 3500 sqft gym to work out in every day on campus. Very nice.Cons: Peer review meetings of your code were required.
- 3.0Good place to launch your career or internSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeSunnyvale, California, United StatesMarch 31, 2015Pros: Lots of ways to learn from the best in the industry. Free food. Nice people in general. Good benefits and amenities.Cons: Not challenging enough. Lots of mid-level management, which leads to micromanagement of tasks. I ran into an issue where it was very difficult to do anything that the senior engineer on the team didn't 'think correct' (and highly voted Stack Overflow answers couldn't convince him either).
