Incredibly smart people all around you.
The company has been through some tough times, and it reflects.
1. Got first 1:1 interview on campus. It was a pure algorithm test. Design a data structure to store a sparse 2D matrix containing only 0s and 1s, then write a function to add two such matrices. I first proposed using an array to remember each 1's l
Recruiter screen at Yahoo, followed by a technical phone screen with a UI engineer. Because I was remote, the panel interview was conducted over the phone and chat (for coding questions). Topics covered were mostly PHP, with one JavaScript question
Two phone screens were involved. Live coding in a shared document. Then an on-site interview with several engineers. Lots of writing code on whiteboards. It was long and thorough, but not uncomfortable. Everyone was pretty friendly and supportive.
