Still has potential, but management really needs to improve
Good company to have on your resume. Some smart people that you can learn from. Friendly environment. Pretty good benefits.
- Mismanaged, unclear direction/future.
- Not able to turn visitors into revenue.
- Management doesn't have (or doesn't share) vision/roadmap.
- Management doesn't take responsibility for their failures.
- Recent restructurings/layoffs were meant to get the company "fit"; ironically, after the restructurings/layoffs, the reporting level of my team has been increased by 3. One-third of the engineers were laid off when almost no mid/high management was affected.
- Hire/layoff cycle every 6 months.
The company simply needs to be managed better.
As is, engineers simply don't have any incentives to work harder.
