Pay is not as competitive as other Bay Area companies.

After being bought out by Verizon, the direction of the company feels uncertain. It felt like Verizon did not respect the Verizon Media Group organization, to the point of almost regretting buying them out. Verizon seems more interested in recouping the money spent during the buyout quickly rather than leveraging and maintaining talent and the strong tech infrastructure Yahoo developed.
