Pros

Highly reputable company. Challenging tasks that keep you committed. The best place I have ever worked.

Cons
  • Very obscure people review scrutiny, during which your professional outcome and business value generated aren't really assessed.

This is rather a period to find out disconnected relations between your achievements and gains.

  • Poor work-life balance, overtimes are frequent, so are misplaced (i.e. suddenly-appearing and poorly estimated) tasks, stories, projects, and issues.
Advice to Management

Straighten the transparency of the people review process for 16+ grades.

Take into account that work is but a part of life (it's not the other way around), and employees do have their families, children, chores, and life-long plans.

Establish some time-tracking practices. As long as people review and by-objectives management remains in place, judge the accomplishments based on efforts spent as well.

Your people are your primary asset, but every now and again, many do leave and embark upon new projects in other companies. Lo and behold, this is bound to the people review process, to subtle mismatches in daily processes, to a lack of job descriptions in higher grades, and to expectations unmet from both sides.
