Never trust your manager in this company. Their only function is to document your weaknesses and micromanage you. I have never seen so many incompetent managers gathered in one place.
Yelp has been employing methods such as compensation cuts and PIPs to encourage people to leave and reduce headcount instead of layoffs and paying proper severance, like many other big tech companies. Yelp is so dishonest with its employees and does not really care about them.
The other con is that small businesses actually hate Yelp due to its dishonesty, and you feel so unaccomplished by working here. Plus, all of your friends ask you, "Is Yelp still alive?"
