Response was very slow, and I felt like I was being ghosted until I got a rejection after the technical challenge.
In the coding challenge, they wrote: "Do not write unit tests for the sake of time." Don't believe that. I got rejected because I didn't write unit tests, even though it specifically says not to write them.
Also, don't bother using React Query; apparently, the reviewing team doesn't understand how useQuery works.
Communication with the company is also weird. I got an email from them that ended with, "If you have any questions, ask the recruiter." That gave me pause, and frankly, I thought it was fake because wasn't that email supposed to be from the recruiter?
