Front End Engineer Interview Experience - Singapore

Process

I didn't even apply. I was contacted by the recruiter and later asked why I decided to leave my current company. I didn't even decide I was going to join, just to be bombarded by irrelevant questions by the recruiter. I did a phone interview and was asked a bunch of questions not related to front-end development. It kind of felt like I was back in school taking an exam. There were no practical questions. I would suggest recruiters learn how to interview engineers by letting them do actual coding. It's really useless to test engineers by asking them what HTML, XML, DOM, and CSS stand for. It just shows how little recruiters know about the work done by engineers.

Questions

Are you planning to resign in a year after joining the company?

What does DOM stand for?
