HR interview, just a chit-chat.
Assigned to do a take-home project for a week. I finished the project really carefully and well.
HR manager interview again (?), but it's actually with the boss you will be working with. We went over my resume. He was so condescending and acted like he was above me. He kept belittling my current company. He said, "Your work is not complicated; I've seen your product." Not sure what his problem is. I was also asked a BS question such as, "Why should we hire you?" I can't believe a company is still asking such a question in this day and age. At this point, I already knew I wouldn't want to work with such a character. I ended the interview, and he stopped the call before I even finished saying goodbye.
It's been more than two weeks. After spending a week on a useless project, I gained nothing. Not even a rejection letter. They didn't even give me a chance to prove my technical ability through an interview.
What should we hire you for?
