Process

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week.

  • The first step was a preliminary HR interview to discuss the role and my fit for it.
  • The second step was a questionnaire about basic programming knowledge.
  • The third step was an on-site 2-hour coding session, where I was asked to debug and fix a small demo project that had errors, which was written in Angular and Node.js.
  • The fourth and last step was a Zoom interview, where I was asked about a recent project that I worked on and some deep-dive questions about it, followed by two simple coding questions.

Questions

Describe the most recent project you had worked on. What parts did you develop yourself? Briefly explain how you stored users' passwords in the database.

In Node.js, how do you wait for 2 separate API calls, while firing both in parallel (and not sequentially)?

What are the 5 REST HTTP methods, and what are the differences between them?
