Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Be careful with these individuals and do not trust what they say unless it is documented in writing. The interview process was not difficult, and I reached the final stages. Up until that point, the experience was fine. At that point, after the main interview, they informed me that I would receive an offer and that I had to complete an assessment. The assessment they sent me was actually very easy, and the instructions were vague. They provided it to me over the weekend, so I had no resources to ask clarifying questions. After submitting it on Monday, I was told they were proceeding with someone else, despite having previously informed me that I would receive an offer. It was very discouraging. I was not even given a clear reason as to why my solution was deemed incorrect. As I mentioned, unless you have the offer in writing, do not get too excited.
