The first meet and greet went alright; the technical interview did not. I was pretty much siloed to my current position, and the interviewer couldn't seem to get past the fact that my role originated at a startup, where I did COE work exclusively. Only after the acquisition did I transition into a customer-facing role.
I didn't work very hard to correct the interviewer, as a quick glance at my resume would have uncovered my Cloud Ops Engineer experience.
There was also so much talk about the CEO and how Zscaler is such a great place to work. It was the majority of the conversation and put me off. Psychology dictates that the more you have to say you are something, the less likely it's true.
