Software Engineer New Grad Interview Experience - Cupertino, California

Process

Sent me a Glider link. I'm normally not a fan of software that invades privacy, but since COVID-19 has made the economy so bad, I was desperate.

I broke no rules, yet when I searched for documentation, the Glider software complained that I cheated and would be reported. Another time, when I was just looking at the screen, the Glider AI again complained I was looking away and had once again cheated.

This really messed with me, as I got thrown off and became really stiff, too afraid to do anything. I emailed the recruiter, and she said she received no complaints from the software.

Overall, not a good experience.

Questions

Was too scared of being called out for "cheating" to remember.
